Booking Conditions

If you are booking me for an event as a Deejay, Light Operator or Consultant, please make sure to fulfill the following requirements and note the conditions of the booking.
If you have any questions or might be unable to fulfill the minimum requirements mentioned below, please inform me about this - in time - before the gig. (1)(2)

Disclaimer & Cancellation Policy

Cancellation more than 21 days before event:
I understand that especially in the event industry things can change quickly. Therefor, if you cancel a booking more than 21 days before the event, I will not charge anything, unless we agreed that I will have upfront expenses that will be bought specifically for that gig (e.g. special equipment).

Cancellation within 21 days before event:
However, if you cancel a booking within the last 21 days before the event, I might have gotten other requests for that day, that I have declined or might have already spent time for preparation. In these cases, I might charge 50% of the billable rate as well as any expenses (e.g. for specialized music).

Cancellation within 7 days before event:
If you cancel a booking within the last 7 days before the event, I will charge 100% of the billable rate.

Other policies might apply for hired equipment:
Subcontractors (e.g. Equipment hire) might have stricter cancellation policies. In case cancellation fees apply, I will pass on the cancellation policy of the external company to you.

Footnotes

(1)If you cannot provide adequate parking (e.g. the parking lot is in a no-parking zone and I will likely get a ticket or someone else is parking in that parking lot or it is likely that my car will get damaged when I park on that spot) I will add the parking and/or taxi charges to your bill.
(2)Should problems occur during the gig, I am there for you to find a solution.
However, if I cannot fulfill my duties because of problems that you could have avoided by informing me upfront about not fulfilling the minimum requirements mentioned above, I might consider the gig as cancelled and charge you according to the cancellation policy.
This might happen for example, if:
  • Parking is not possible near the event location without you telling me while booking
  • (only) in case of DJ booking:
    • The dancefloor is not visible from the DJ location
    • There is not enough space on the DJ Booth and thus I cannot setup the equipment
    • No sound system present or sound system is broken
(3)Soundsystem needs to fulfill one of the following conditions: a setup where you can hear the sound quality and volume on the complete dancefloor from the DJ Table (e.g. DJ Booth opposite of speakers) or a sound technician that takes care of the sound on the dancefloor
